The lotus pond is located in the middle of town and you can see the mountain chain stretching from north to south as the background which makes Nong Bua Lam Phu a beautiful lakeside scenery of all.

Nong Bua Lam Phu is a newly established province. It's about 46 kms. from Udon Thani province. It's a small and peaceful town. Its people are very kind and friendly. There are many interesting places to visit and also Home-stay & Long stay available.

Home-stay is an opportunity to experience the lifestyle and culture by living with a host. In a home-stay, visitors can observe, learn and experience a new lifestyle and culture while visiting another country. Home-stay is a short-term housing alternative, to blend yourself in different communities.

Hello everyone, my name is CrewNeng. And I live in Nong Bua Lam Phu. I was an AFS student to The United States of America during 1982 - 1983. I lived with The Grubb family in Independence, Kansas City, Missouri, USA. It had been a great experience of my life and I had learned so much from them. They will always be in my memory. I have learned to give and take, to share feelings in good & bad times, to love and trust others. Most of all I have learned to appreciate my own country.

Even though Nong Bua Lam Phu is considered to be the poorest province of Thailand, its people are very happy to live simple lifestyle. We enjoy being ordinary here surrounnded by nature where we belong. I’m looking forward to seeing another AFS'er from Nong Bua Lam Phu having this opportunity and build understanding across the world. Just go for it. And let’s make it happen.
